The death has occurred of Catherine (Kathleen) MC ARDLE (née Hiney)

Mc Ardle nee Hiney, Inchicore & formerly Rathfarnham. 9th July 2017 – Of your charity please pray for the soul of Kathleen who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and pet dog Bonnie, in the wonderful care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross. Catherine (Kathleen) who had many happy years with the late Jimmy and much loved wife of the late Philip, stepmother to the late Philip & Mary, will be very sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Margaret, Theresa & Bernie, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, son-in-law David, sister-in-law, extended family, neighbours & friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross on Wednesday. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 9.30 am in St. Michael’s Church, Emmet Rd, Inchicore followed by burial in Rathdowney Cemetery. Update on ease of Government restrictions on funeral services, as of Monday 10th May.

Unfortunately, it is still not possible to have a large funeral as we still navigate the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. We understand how difficult this is for you the families we serve but the safety of everyone is our priority. We must play our part in the strict adherence to these instructions.

Only immediate family and close friends should attend the funeral.

No more than 50 people are permitted to attend the funeral service or be present at the graveside. Numbers allowed in Crematoria vary, your Funeral Arranger will be able to advise on exact numbers.

The numbers who may attend gatherings in our funeral homes is limited at this time. Again, your Funeral Arranger can advise you on the numbers as it depends on the size of the funeral home.

Face masks must be worn when entering our funeral homes. It is also recommended that they are worn in churches and crematoriums. When visiting our funeral homes for your safety, we ask that you provide your contact details for the benefit of track and trace.

Those in attendance will also need to follow social distancing guidelines. This means all funeral attendees must keep a distance of 2 metres apart.

Physical interactions including shaking hands and hugging must be avoided.

Those who are self-isolating or need to restrict their movements can not attend funerals.

Many of our churches have implemented streaming services so that family and friends can view the service from home. Please ask your Funeral arranger for details.
